Junette Putaranui

I am a kaupapa-driven leader, grounded in the values of manaakitanga, kotahitanga, whanaungatanga, and kaitiakitanga. My work across iwi, hapū, sport, and community is focused on uplifting our people and strengthening our collective wellbeing.

I currently serve as a board member for the Rotorua Basketball Association, where I contribute to governance, community engagement, and building strong pathways for tamariki and rangatahi in sport. I'm also Chairperson and Funding Manager for Ngongotahā Sports & Community Association, leading funding strategy and supporting sustainable, community-led initiatives.

In my professional role as Executive Manager for Kaikaitahuna Management Company and Te Tāhuhu o Tawakeheimoa Trust, I oversee operations, financial systems, and organisational performance, ensuring our governance structures are strong and effective.

Across all my roles, I bring a strong focus on systems, accountability, and clear communication. I'm committed to using my skills to support our communities, strengthen our iwi, and create opportunities for future generations.
